1 RULES
The racing will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing including the prescriptions of the RYA.
2 ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY
The event is open to all Dinghies of the Int Canoe, Laser Vortex and Contender Class. The helm shall be a member of the appropriate Class Association.
Eligible boats may enter in advance by completing the entry form (available from www.hisc.co.uk) and sending it, together with the entry fee, to the address on the entry form.
Entry Fee: £28
Cheques to be made payable to: Hayling Island Sailing Club
All boats not registered in Chichester Harbour require a Harbour plaque available at registration, £3.50

4 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be available at Registration. A draft version may be available in advance by download from the HISC website.
5 RACING AREA
The racing area will be Hayling Bay or Chichester Harbour
6 SCORING
Two races are required to be completed to constitute a series. Each boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores, except that when 4 or more races have been completed her worst score will be excluded.
7 PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each Class.Further Prizes may be awarded according to the number of entries. 8 LOCAL RULES
No tents or camper vans are to be used on the HISC property.
No vehicles are to be used for overnight sleeping.
All competitors agree to be bound by the Bye-Laws of Hayling Island Sailing Club.
9 RIGHTS TO USE NAMES & LIKENESSES
Competitors automatically grant to the organising authority without payment the right in perpetuity to make, use and show any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television of or relating to the event.
10 STATEMENT OF LIABILITY
Competitors are entirely responsible for their own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing reduces this responsibility. It is for competitors to decide whether their boat and its helm and crew are fit to sail in the conditions that they might find. By going to sea competitors confirm their boat is fit for those conditions and that they are competent to sail and compete in them. Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the owners and/or competitors, nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the event.
11 INSURANCE
Boats are required to be adequately insured including insurance against third party claims of at least £2m or the equivalent in other currencies.

A list of further local accommodation can be requested from the club.
