We have problems on the training front as Adam Bowers has been nabbed by the RYA and after a week of trying I have been unable to find a replacement. However, all is not lost.... I've persuaded Gary Langdown (top Brit 05 Worlds and race winner 06 Worlds) and Simon Mussell (Top Brit 06 worlds) to come along and pass on some words of wisdom on boat set up, boat handling etc etc. We should get a chance to look over most boats if required and will then be running on the water exercises from a RIB, which will give Gary and Simon the opertunity to shout words of encouragment and advice. This training will therefore be more "Contender Specific" which may well suit some of you but sorry to those who where looking forward to more Race Craft training. The plan is to have 1 day of set up and coaching and 1 day structured (ish!) boat on boat tuning/free sailing. We may run some impromptu races as well if conditions permit. Venue is still at Weymouth. 1 advantage of all this is it should work out cheaper! The only costs we have to cover now are a RIB, launching/harbour fees and maybe a few beers for Gary and Simon (say total circa £25 - depends how much I have to pay to hire in a RIB) We currently have in excess of 10 boats attending but there is space for more if anyone is interested - just get in touch if you want to book or have any questions. This is a real opertunity to pick the brains of some of the top UK Contender sailors (Well Simon and Gaz anyway). Cheers Nick
