Giovanni Bonzio takes Europeans

Giovanni Bonzio of Italy clinched the Contender European Championship this weekend from a very strong fleet of 92 boats. Second was Marcus Hamilton of Australia, followed by Andrea Bonezzi. top brit was Gary Langdown in 4th.

The growth in the international strength in depth of the fleet was demonstrated by the fact that the top 10 of the fleet were drawn from 6 countries.

The Datchet duo of Stuart Jones and Matt Aston also made the top ten in 6th and 7th respectively, with Graham Scott finishing in 9th place.
