Organizing
Authority: Sailingclub Ebensee in co-operation with the International Contender Association, the Austrian Contender Association and the Austrian Sailing Federation.
Racing Area: The racing area will be Lake Traunsee.
Rules: The Championship will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2005-2008, the international Contender Class Rules 2006, the rules of the Austrian Sailing Federation 2006, the Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions and any amendments there to.
Eligibility and Applications
for Entries: International open for all boats of this class, which are members of the ISAF, boats which concern to the rules of the International Contender Class Rules.
Every competitor has to have a sailing licence of his country which is coparably with the Austrian sailing licence “A”.
Advertising: According to ISAF regulation 20.

Measurement: Every boat has to have a Measurement Certificate.
Controlls and Inspections can be every time and the boats have to pass a weigh. Also the rudder and the sword has to pass a weigh, the size and the measurement marks will be controlled.

The Course: The Course will be according to the „International Contender Class Rules“.
Scoring: The Low Point Scoring System of RRS Appendix A will apply.
In total 10 Races are scheduled, with 2 discards. With 8 races or less only one discard and with 4 race or less no discard.
4 Races have to be completed to constitute European Championship. No more than 3 races will be sailed per day.
Prices: Pointprices for the first 10 places. The best placed European competitor is “The European Champion 2006 in the Contender Class”.

Liability and
Isurance: The Organizing Authority or any other party involved in the organization of the event will accept no liability whatsoever for any personal or material damage ( including, but not limited to death, injury consequential damage, etc.) sustained prior to, during or after the regatta. For every participating boat, a valid third-party liability insurance shall exist with a minimum coverage of € 1,000.000,-- per event or the equivalent amount in the currency of the country of the registered boat. Each boat must provide the Organizing Authority with a certificate of that incurance.

Camping: Camping is possible at the Sailing Club Area at a limited quantity. Camping guests have to pay a small energy fee.
