How easy is it to gybe?

Like all fast boats the Contender is relatively easy to gybe even in strong winds. You must take charge and drive the boat through the gybe. Get the boat travelling at maximum speed as the apparent wind speed is less then. Bear away, and as the boat starts to run by the lee grab the mainsheet and pull. As the boom comes across get your head down (you did remember to unhook didn't you?) Move to the other side, countersteer, hook on, and go for the next mark. It's a lot easier than we sometimes make it look!
